The Huon Art Exhibitions Group is a ‘not for profit’ community run organisation. Its purpose is to provide a venue and support for local artists, to display their work and sell it. HAEG’s Cygnet Gallery is located between Vinnies and Mitre 10 and is run by our local artists. The gallery is open everyday between 10am and 4pm.
The Cygnet Gallery has a diverse display of artworks, including paintings, photography, jewellery, wood sculptures, books, cards, ceramics, handcrafts including leatherwork, knitted items, felted animals etc.
The “Huon Art Awards“ is an annual exhibition held by HAEG in the Cygnet Town Hall, beginning on the first Friday in March, and continuing over two weeks and three weekends and is open to all including non members. Individual exhibitions and art related workshops are held in Lovett Gallery (behind the Cygnet Town Hall) – see our website for availability and details.
